The future of travel and living with Covid-19
We have all had to adapt to this new world, where it’s imperative for us to take additional measures to stay healthy. Living with Covid is something that we are all coming to terms with and is as we know, an ever-changing and fluid situation. This will need your constant flexibility surrounding safety measures and requirements that we may not have had to consider when travelling in the past.
The health and well-being of our Tuncurry Coach Tours passengers and staff has always been, and always will be, our primary concern, that’s why you can travel with us reassured that we have put numerous measures in place to elevate our hygiene standards and protocols.
We also feel strongly that travel is something that should not be taken away from us because we know that what we do for our passengers keeps people active, social and happy. It is our aim to keep this promise and continue to provide wonderful experiences for all our passengers in the safest way possible where you will be confident to travel.
Tuncurry Coach Tours are continually assessing and adopting new requirements and expectations relating to safe travel and are implementing safe practices to enhance hygiene protocols to give you the needed peace of mind during your travels in these new times, which include:
- To ensure the safety of all passengers, our guides and drivers for Tuncurry Coach Tours will conduct a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) on themselves prior to travel. While this requirement is not mandatory for you as a passenger, we do recommend it is something that you adopt for added security and peace of mind when travelling and being away from home for extended periods of time plus, the consideration of other passengers and your coach driver/guide).
- Implementing physical distancing measures on and off the coach wherever possible and requiring passengers and staff to take special measures to minimise the risk of exposure to COVID-19.
- Tuncurry Coach Tours thoroughly disinfect our vehicles prior to departure and all touch points will be disinfected again during and between trips. This is in accordance with guidance from Transport for NSW.
- Provide Hand Sanitiser
- Clean high touch surfaces regularly and thoroughly.
- Keep customer records using the COVIDSafe App to help facilitate contact tracing.
- Have signage on-board to remind everyone of their responsibility to keep each other safe.
- Encourage passengers, drivers and staff to wear a face mask whilst on board the coach.
- Comply with National and State Public Health directions.
- Provide QR check in for all passengers.
In addition to these above measures we ask that all our passengers take an active role in being responsible for themselves and also for the well-being of other travellers at all times.
This begins with:
- Following public health orders and complying with group travel rules, stating; “Any person who is a close contact and/or is instructed to self-isolate, is feeling unwell or experiencing COVID-19 symptoms including cough, fever, sore throat, fatigue, and shortness of breath should remain at home and not travel.”
- Ensuring that you are vaccinated against Covid 19 and that your booster shots are up to date.
- Packing any personal protective equipment (masks and sanitisers) you require.
- Ensuring that you have taken out travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances which may arise prior to or whilst on your trip.
- Packing yourself spare RAT tests to take away with you while on any overnight or extended tour, in the instance that you begin to show COVID symptoms while away from home.
Please note: if you begin to show COVID symptoms you must inform your tour guide/coach captain immediately. To protect your fellow passengers, coach driver and guide, you will be required to provide a negative rapid antigen test result before proceeding on the rest of the tour.
- Please adopt physical distancing and hygiene practices prior to your pre-trip travel arrangements.
- Follow all health instructions whether physical signage, or requests from our professional staff, once you are holidaying with us.
- Avoid using the on-board bathroom facility where possible.
- Check in using the COVIDSafe App to help facilitate contact tracing.
- Follow the guidance provided by Tuncurry Coach Tours guide and driver at all times.
- Under current Public Health orders passengers travelling are required to wear a fitted face covering (subject to changing health orders).
We look forward to a busy year of travel and outings with you all,
Warm Regards,
Adam and Lisa McMahon
